Yay, I can connect again!

Hi everyone! Today, the internet actually seems to be working! Huzzah! Anyway, just a quick update on what I've been up to the last few days.

Yesterday, I got on my bike and took a little tour of Kyoto. It is a pretty nice city to bike in, and most bicyclists seem to be operating on the basis that the traffic rules are just a loose set of guidelines... that only drivers have to pay attention to. Well, some people at least. Anyway, biking in Kyoto is nice.

I had some trouble sleeping last night. Remember that lovely little fridge I have in my room? That fridge can get really loud, and last night it was just ridiculous. I got fed up and unplugged it for the night. I just wondered, is this safe to do? I mean, obviously the food in the fridge will spoil if you don't keep it refrigerated, but will it go bad if you just leave the fridge unplugged over the night? Does the fridge retain some cold? I'm no fridge expert, so if anyone knows, please tell me. Oh well, I suppose I could always get some earplugs or something if I can't sleep.

Well, that's all for today. Until next time, have a good day!

  2. Yeah, as long as you keep it closed the fridge should stay cold and the food should be okay for a night at least.

  3. Well when I defrosted my fridge, it was after I took everything out and moved it into another fridge. Over one night, it depends what it is. My fridge can make a lot of noise too -_- Good to hear you got connected again though.

  4. It will retain some cold as long as you don't open and shut the door more than a couple times.

Can you maybe get a fan or something to cover the noise?

  5. Google it! :) If you think having a mini-fridge in your room, try a couple of gerbils!

  6. Nice one! Always sucks when the internet isn't working and you want to get things done.

  7. I demand more pictures! In all honesty though, I'd keep in plugged in. Considering the humidity and the warmth food would probably go bad.

Just spend a few bucks on some earplugs or something.

  8. Welceome back to internet land. As far as fridges go you might be able to unplug it over night and it'll keep the coolness in, but I wouldn't want to work with that for more than an hour or two. otherwise just get some bags of ice and put that in there if you're going to unplug it. Still wouldnt' sugest it.

  13. Ah, Kyoto, will I ever get there? If you have a freezer on top of the fridge, get 2-3ice packs to keep in the freezer daytime and then put them in the fridge when you turn it off - keeps everything cool overnight. Can't recommend ear plugs in the long run - it gave me wax plugs. On the other hand, I wasn't bothered by any sounds anymore ^^

  14. You'll probably get used to the sound eventually if you just put up with it for a while.

Good to hear you're doing well this far. :)

Soft att du har flickvännen på klart mer hanterbart avstånd nu. Ska du plugga på japanska med?
